This world is so vast; so much of it has been left untouched. Countless states, countries, and islands fill the world with population and attention. Humans have a passion for seeing things more than what they can see where they are, from the great plains to star-struck Los Angles to the swamps of Louisiana to the bustling metropolis of New York City.
People come from all over the U.S to see North Carolina, people from North Carolina go all around the world seeking something more. There is so much to do and so much to see; there has always been that longing to see something great, to do something great. Even animals, migrating.
A boy who attends Mcdowell High has had tremendous experience with traveling because his father traveled a lot. When he was a small boy Robert Cox’s father would often take trips to Mexico and Arkansas with his cousins and uncles.
“I remember my Father talking about how beautiful those places were,” Robert said. “He described how when they checked into motels they would stand outside and just glance into the distance, just watching the land.”
Robert described his trips to the beach, saying, “I love going to the beach cause I get to swim and just sit on the beach with a drink in my hand and the sand in my toes.”
So much of this planet is beautiful, and for every person there is a place that is unique and they dream of that place, and one day hope they can be there. The world hides secret wonders and amazing formations all around it. Every corner of the globe is shrouded with mystery and wonder even though some get to call those home.
